Tech-gard Enamel is a durable, high gloss synthetic coating for
interior and exterior protection of steel. aluminum and wood. It has been
specifically developed for protection and decoration of metal exposed to
industrial and highly humid environments. This enamel will provide a corrosion
resistant coating for maintenance and machinery painting as well as for
use on heavy capital structures where long term paint life is expected.
The ready-mixed colors contain phenolic varnish which enhances the integrity
of the paint film.
Tech-gard Enamel affords excellent protection in the following
exposures and splash and spray. This enamel is not recommended for continuous
immersion.
Abrasion Resistance: very good
Heat Resistance: Up to 250°F dry heat (121°C).

Weather Resistance: Excellent gloss and color retention under
normal weather conditions.
Water & Humidity: Withstands high humidity
Ordering: Available in 1 gallon containers. Base 1 and Black available
in 1 and 5 gallon containers.

RECOMMENDED FILM THICKNESS: 1.5 mils dry film

thickness.
SURFACE PREPARATION: Properly primed surface should be free of
dirt, oil, moisture, grease and other contaminants.
MIXING: Mix well before use to insure proper pigment dispersion.
POT LIFE: n/a
SHELF LIFE: 1 year
APPLICATION: Apply by brush. roller or spray to yield a dry film
thickness of approximately 1.5 mils per coat.
DRYING TIME @ 77°F (25°C):
Set to touch - Ready mixed colors 1 hr. - Tinting bases* 3 hrs.
Dry to handle - 8 hrs.
Dry to re-coat - 24 hrs.
*Dry time increased due to addition of P&L tinting colorants.

THINNING: VOC for this product will be above 3.5 Ibs/gal (420
